3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray might end up not being moved before Friday's trade deadline, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. Gray had long been considered one of the more likely starting pitchers to be dealt by the deadline, but now Heyman reports that the Rockies may end up holding onto him, and instead give him a qualifying offer at the end of the season. Over 18 starts this season, Gray is 6-6 with a career-best 3.67 ERA and career-best 1.224 WHIP, along with a 22 percent strikeout rate over 98 innings of work. Managers will want to keep an eye out for further updates to see who Gray will pitch for this weekend.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
