6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray said he simply wasn't healthy in 2018. "I wasn’t really healthy," Gray told the Denver Post, "My (velocity) was down this year. I was down about 20 pounds this year. I need to get back to 230-235." In an effort to bounce back after posting a disappointing 5.12 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 9.6 K/9 over 31 starts, Gray plans to hit the gym hard in the offseason and pack on some muscle. The right-hander had bad luck on his side all year and was hurt often by the long ball, allowing a career-high 1.4 homers per nine innings. The hard-throwing right-hander could easily bounce back in 2019 with better health and luck, making him a value target in fantasy drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
