2 years agoWith Tampa Bay Rays outfielders Manuel Margot (knee) and Kevin Kiermaier (hip) going on the injured list on Tuesday, the Rays have recalled infielder Jonathan Aranda and outfielder Luke Raley from Triple-A Durham. Aranda, the team's No. 21 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has played second, third and first base this year in the minors and was hitting .310/.386/.512 with an .898 OPS, 11 home runs, 40 RBI, 45 runs scored and three stolen bases in 63 games before his first big-league call-up. With Vidal Brujan likely to see more time in the outfield with Margot and Kiermaier out, Aranda should see most of his playing time at the keystone in Tampa. The 24-year-old is worth a look in AL-only and deep mixed leagues in the short term. Raley, who was hitting .299/.374/.575 with seven home runs, 25 RBI and 14 runs scored in 24 games for Durham, will give the Rays some extra outfield depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
