Jonathan Aranda Has Impressed In Triple-A
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays infield prospect Jonathan Aranda has been putting together an impressive season for Triple-A Durham. The infielder took big strides last year in his offensive game by hitting a career-high in batting average at .330, home runs with 14 and RBI with 65 between High-A and Single-A. Aranda has built off of that success in Triple-A this season and is currently hitting .322 with nine home runs and 33 RBI. At 5'10, Aranda is undersized, but he provides plenty of power and quick bat speed from the left side of the plate. Already on the 40-man roster and with infielders Vidal Brujan and Taylor Walls both struggling at the plate, it wouldn't be a surprise to the see the Rays give the 24-year-old a shot in the big leagues at some point in 2022. Aranda should be rostered in dynasty leagues and managers in redraft leagues that can stash prospects should consider him.
