3 years agoKansas City Royals pitching prospect Jonathan Bowlan (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery next week, according to Anne Rogers of MLB.com. The No. 8 prospect in Kansas City's system according to MLB Pipeline, Bowlan was looking good on the mound at Double-A this season, going 2-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 25 strikeouts over 17 innings of work. Bowlan faced only two batters in his last start on Sunday — striking out both of them — before he exited the contest. He could have potentially had some value in redraft leagues later this season, but now only managers in dynasty formats should keep an eye on him.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
