Jonathan India Drives In One, Leaves Early In Loss
3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (ankle) went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, a run, and an RBI in a 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. India was replaced by pinch-hitter Mike Freeman in the sixth inning. The rookie was scratched from Monday's lineup with an ankle injury and was still less than 100% while running, according to manager David Bell, which was why he was replaced. Bell told reporters that India may start in Wednesday's game, but fantasy gamers counting on him will want to check back to make sure he's in the starting lineup. India is hitting .267 with 11 doubles, six homers, 40 runs, 33 RBI, and seven steals this season.
