Jonathan India Exits Early After HBP
2 years agoCincinnati Reds' second baseman Jonathan India (hand, wrist) was removed from Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants early after being hit by a pitch on his hand/wrist during the fifth inning. He initially stayed in the game for multiple innings before being removed. The 25-year-old went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts before leaving. India is considered day-to-day. Matt Reynolds replaced India in Saturday's game and went 0-for-1 in his only plate appearance. Reynolds would see an uptick in at-bats if India misses any games. The 31-year-old is slashing .250/.315/.364 with three home runs, 13 RBI, 17 runs, and four stolen bases over 47 games in 2022.
