Jonathan India Exits Early With Leg Contusion
2 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (leg) was diagnosed with a lower left leg contusion after exiting Thursday's game against the Chicago Cubs. He sustained the injury after being hit by a pitch in the first inning. The 25-year-old avoided a significant injury and is considered day-to-day. His next chance to return to the lineup will be Saturday against the Cubs. India was replaced in the game by Matt Reynolds. Reynolds will see an uptick in playing time if India is forced to miss any games. The 31-year-old is slashing .249/.319/.344 with three home runs, 18 RBI, 29 runs, and four stolen based in 71 games in 2022.
