Jonathan India Eyes Big League Arrival In 2021
4 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India has been heralded as one of the organization's top prospects ever since he was chosen with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft. Even with the oddity of the 2020 season behind him, India is inching closer to making his Major League debut, something that could happen later this year, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon points out. India has gotten off to a strong start in Cactus League play, going 3-for-10 at the dish with a home run, three walks and four runs scored. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct path to playing time -- yet. With Eugenio Suarez and Mike Moustakas holding down third and second base, respectively, India would likely need an injury to occur to see a crack at regular playing time. So while the hot spring is positive news for fantasy managers in keepers formats, when India could be making a big league impact is unclear.
