Jonathan India Makes Opening Day Roster
4 years agoCincinnati Reds rookie infielder Jonathan India was informed that he made the Opening Day roster on Wednesday. India was the team's 2018 first-round pick and put together an impressive spring, hitting .313 with three homers, 12 runs, seven RBI, and two steals in 48 at-bats. He is expected to serve as the team's primary second baseman when the regular season begins on Thursday, a spot that was opened up when the team decided to move Eugenio Suarez to shortstop and Mike Moustakas to third base. India has a plus hit tool and some power potential, making him an interesting name in dynasty and deeper NL-only redraft formats in 2021.
