Jonathan India Removed For Precautionary Reasons
4 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India went 0-for-1 in a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. India left the game after being hit in the helmet by a pitch in the sixth inning. The team reported that India is doing fine and that he passed the needed tests to remain in the game but he was removed as a precautionary measure. India was replaced at second base by utility man Kyle Farmer. India should be back in the lineup in the next day or two. The rookie is hitting .254 with a homer, 14 RBI, and nine runs across 63 at-bats.
