3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India is getting a rest from the lineup Sunday and Jose Barrero is filling in and batting seventh against the Miami Marlins with right-hander Sandy Alcantara pitching, MLB.com reported. Manager David Bell wants India to have the benefit of two straight days off, with no game scheduled for Monday. India, who is slashing .277/.388/.463 on the season, is having a strong rookie campaign and should be fine to start next week. Barrero hasn't hit much in his young career and can be skipped in daily leagues.--Josh Friedman
