3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (hamstring), who is currently on the injured list with a right hamstring strain, ran the bases at Great American Ballpark before the game on Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. India is eligible to return from the injured list next Tuesday against the San Diego Padres, and the fact that he was running the bases already is a good sign. The 25-year-old was the National League Rookie of the Year in 2021, but he's still searching for his first home run of 2022, going 7-for-29 with two RBI and three runs scored in seven games before injuring his hamstring. Alejo Lopez and Brandon Drury have been splitting time at the keystone with India sidelined, with Lopez getting the nod in the last four games, including Friday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
