4 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in a 9-4 Cactus League loss to the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. India continues to stake his claim on the open second base job in Cincinnati, hitting .333 with two homers, nine runs, five RBI, and a steal in 39 at-bats. The Reds have been experimenting with Eugenio Suarez at shortstop and moving Mike Moustakas back to third base, which would leave the second base job open for the taking. It remains to be seen whether Cincinnati decides to hand the job to India or send him to Triple-A for the beginning of the season. If he does open the year at Louisville, don't expect India to be in the minors for very long.--Matt T - RotoBaller
