Jonathan India Steals A Base, Scores In Loss
3 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India went 1-for-3 with a steal and a run in a 17-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday. The rookie infielder is now hitting .233 with three homers, 14 runs, 21 RBI, and three steals in 129 at-bats in his debut season. While his overall numbers aren't too exciting, India is starting to heat up at the plate of late. Over his past seven games, India is hitting .278 while swiping two bases. He is also showing pretty solid plate discipline over the early portion of the season, ranking in the 55th percentile in strikeout rate and the 54th percentile in walk rate. India is worth a look in deeper mixed leagues and NL-only formats.
