3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga locked down a two-inning save in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox, but he came awfully close to blowing it, loading the bases with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning before weaseling his way out of trouble. All told, he gave up no runs on three hits and no walks with three strikeouts. It's his fifth save of the year to go with 16 holds. Loaisiga has been very valuable in leagues that count both those numbers, but he holds only limited short-term value in traditional configurations, as Chad Green is getting plenty of save opportunities as well with Aroldis Chapman sidelined.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
