5 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jonathan Schoop had a huge night in a 15-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Friday. He went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, two runs, and four RBI in the win. With the big night, Schoop raised his batting average to .260, to go along with 18 doubles, 14 homers, 42 runs, 38 RBI, and one steal. The veteran infielder has been overlooked in a loaded Minnesota lineup but he is quietly putting together a solid season at the plate. While he has hit toward the bottom of the lineup for much of the season, he has plenty of potential to rack up the counting stats in the second half. He remains a quality fantasy second baseman in all formats.--Matt T - RotoBaller
