Jonathan Schoop Hits Two Homers Tuesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Jonathan Schoop went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in a 14-8 blowout win over the New York Mets on Tuesday. Schoop, who came into the game looking for his first homer, went deep in the sixth and ninth innings. The slugging second baseman is off to a slow start this season, hitting just .250 with two homers and five RBI on the year. Schoop's fantasy owners need to stay patient with him as he has as much power upside as any fantasy second baseman in the league. Hopefully, his big game on Tuesday will get his bat going in what is shaping up as a strong Minnesota lineup this season. Schoop will look to keep it going on Wednesday against New York right-hander Noah Syndergaard.
