6 years agoBaltimore Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop will be hitting leadoff against the Nationals, according to Baltimore Sun reporter Jon Meoli. Schoop has been hitting in the third or fourth spots in the lineup all season long, and this will be his first time hitting leadoff since last September. In four career starts as the leadoff hitter, Schoop is hitting .063 with four strikeouts and a .229 OPS. Schoop will be facing off against former teammate Jeremy Hellickson, who Schoop has gone 1-for-4 off of in his career.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
