Jonathan Stewart A Touchdown-Dependent Option For Wild-Card Weekend
7 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will need a touchdown to be fantasy viable this weekend against the Saints. Stewart's numbers this season have been abysmal, averaging only 3.4 yards per carry and failing to produce most of the season despite 10-plus touches per game. He will go up against a Saints run defense that has really come on of late and haven't allowed a 100-yard runner since Week 11. In two games against the Saints, Stewart has 23 carries for 102 yards and one touchdown. If that was one game he would be an RB1, but Stewart should decidedly lose out on touches to rookie Christian McCaffrey in this matchup. He is not worth the risk in fantasy for this Sunday.
