6 years agoNew York Giants running back Jonathan Stewart will look to add a veteran presence to a young, crowded backfield once the season begins. Stewart has a 7,318 career rushing yards but his best years are certainly behind him. He did score seven total touchdowns last season but averaged only 3.4 yards per carry and ultimately ended up stealing carries from Christian McCaffrey in Carolina in 2017. This season he will backup rookie Saquon Barkley but will also have to hold off Wayne Gallman for secondary touches. This week the Giants will go up against a Jaguars run defense that allowed the 11th fewest fantasy points to opposing runners last season. Stewart could become a handcuff worth owning at some point this season but, for now, should not be on fantasy rosters.--Joey C - RotoBaller
