Jonathan Taylor Enters Season Splitting Workload
4 years agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor will play in his first NFL game on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The second-round rookie out of Wisconsin enters this season with a lot of hype around him. Colts head coach Frank Reich plans on using a platoon system in the backfield with Taylor and Marlon Mack. Taylor showed off his explosive, downhill running at Wisconsin but will need to develop more as a pass-catcher to be an every-down back in the NFL. The Jaguars have a poor defense against the run, so Taylor enters the week with a favorable matchup. However, he will not see a heavy workload quite yet.
