Jonathan Villar Homers In Friday Night Loss
3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Jonathan Villar went 1-for-4 with a home run in a 4-2 loss to the Phillies on Friday. It was his 11th homer of the season, as he's now slashing .237/.316/.411 with eight steals, 25 RBI and 38 runs scored over 90 games. This was a nice performance from Villar, who has been struggling over his last seven games where he's slashing .211/.286/.368 with one home run, four RBI and one run scored. He should continue to be a decent option in deeper formats going forward, as hopefully this home run can be the beginning of a turnaround at the plate.
