Jonathan Williams Leads Commanders in Rushing
2 years agoWashington Commanders running back Jonathan Williams carried the ball five times for 31 yards in Saturday’s preseason loss to the Panthers. Williams came into this game as an afterthought but appeared to have made an impact with his short-yardage pickups. The 25-year-old even went in to replace Antonio Gibson on a fourth down conversion that Gibson had failed to convert on third down. With Williams out-touching second-year running back Jaret Patterson, there is a strong chance he could make this roster as the fourth option. However, the former Razorback is irrelevant for fantasy purposes as he should remain firmly behind Gibson, Brian Robinson, and J.D. McKissic.
