4 years agoColorado Avalanche winger Joonas Donskoi went off for a first-period hat trick and had four points as the team put nine goals past Arizona on Wednesday. Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen each had three points. Donskoi recorded a game-high six shots in the contest and already celebrated a hat trick with 7:31 played in the opening period. It was a fitting ending to a hugely successful month for Donskoi, who had nine goals and 16 points in March. He's only a third-liner on the team, but Colorado is currently crushing teams regularly, which has allowed even the depth forwards to shine.
