3 years agoFormer Houston Texans tight end Jordan Akins signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the New York Giants on Thursday, according to a league source. The Giants were looking for more tight end help after both Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph left this offseason. Ricky Seals-Jones is expected to be the team's primary pass-catching tight end, but Akins should also see some playing time. The 30-year-old had 24 receptions on 33 targets for 214 yards and no touchdowns in 13 games (three starts) for the Texans last season. Akins has totaled 114 catches for 1,260 yards and three touchdowns on 162 targets in 58 games (23 starts) in his four NFL seasons. He won't be on the fantasy radar unless Seals-Jones misses time with an injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
