4 years agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop prospect Jordan Groshans returned to the Double-A lineup on Thursday for the first time since May 18. The young infielder, who was in the designated hitter's role, has been dealing with a sore back. He shook off the rust to go 2-for-5 and had a two-run home run in the first inning. Despite the layoff, the 21-year-old infielder extended his hit streak to seven games. The organization will be happy to see Groshans stay healthy from here on out. He was hitting .337 in 23 A-ball games in 2019 when his season came to an early end due to a foot injury. Like every other minor leaguer, he then lost traditional development time in 2020 due to the pandemic.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
