Jordan Hicks Exits Tuesday's Start Early
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jordan Hicks (wrist) was removed from Tuesday's start against the Mets with a right wrist contusion. He was hit in the wrist by a comebacker during the second inning but remained in the game. The 25-year-old was in pain shortly after and was lifted in the third inning. He allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one across two innings before leaving. The severity of Hicks' wrist injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Hicks will continue to be evaluated, but the status for his next start is up in the air. Stay tuned.
