3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jordan Hicks (elbow) threw a bullpen session at Busch Stadium on Monday. It was the first time he's thrown since landing on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation. The Cardinals right-hander has been sidelined since early May and reportedly was uncertain to return this season. Hicks is trending in the right direction and, barring any setbacks, could begin a rehab assignment soon. He owned a 5.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts across 10 appearances in 2021. Hicks remains day-to-day and fantasy managers with an open IL spot can continue to stash him in in deep-league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
