Jordan Howard Dealing With Knee Sprain
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Jordan Howard (knee) will likely be held out of the lineup in Week 12 against the New York Giants after he suffered a knee sprain in Week 11. Howard has been productive with his opportunities over the past four weeks, finding the end zone three times while averaging 5.4 yards per carry. If he is held out of action, Miles Sanders should see the majority of carries out of the backfield after rushing for 94 yards against the New Orleans Saints. Boston Scott would likely be second in line for touches. This also means rookie Kenneth Gainwell will likely be active after being a healthy scratch for the first time all season in Week 11. Howard has a chance to return in Week 13, but with the team on bye in Week 14, Howard may not be back until Week 15. Head coach Nick Sirianni has made it clear Sanders is the starter when healthy, and with quarterback Jalen Hurts also taking away rushing attempts, there is limited upside for Howard once he does return.
