6 years agoChicago Bears running back Jordan Howard wasn't angry about his role or lack thereof when he ran just 11 times for 25 yards in the blowout win over the Buccaneers in Week 4. It was the third straight game that he averaged 2.5 yards per carry or less this year, and Tarik Cohen had 13 rushes for 53 yards and seven catches for an additional 121 yards. "Jordan understands what we’re trying to do as a team," head coach Matt Nagy said. "And he also understands — and we’ve talked — that he is a major part of this offense. He has a big-time role. But if it’s an advantage to us to go a different direction for that game or for that play or that series, we’re going to do that. As long as our guys understand that, we’ll be in good shape." After five weeks (four games), Howard is tied for 12th in the league with 64 carries but is tied for 28th with 203 rushing yards. Chicago's running attack is game-plan specific, so Howard is susceptible to games like this, which should make his fantasy owners a little worried moving forward. Keep him in there as an RB2 coming off the bye this weekend against the Dolphins.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
