Jordan Lawlar Showing Five-Tool Potential In Single-A
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop prospect Jordan Lawlar picked up two more hits for Single-A Visalia on Thursday. Lawler was 2-for-2 in the contest and also drew a pair of walks. Lawlar, 19, was the sixth overall pick in the 2021 draft and has the potential to be a true five-tool player. One of the more underrated features of the young shortstop is his patience at the plate. His body and strength should continue to fill out and that should help his power profile, but even so, Lawlar has five home runs this season to go along with 10 RBI, 17 walks, 15 stolen bases and a healthy .311 batting average in 74 at-bats. It will likely be a few seasons before Lawlar is in the big leagues, but managers in dynasty leagues should be following his progress.
