Jordan Lyles Coasts Against Marlins
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Jordan Lyles went seven strong innings in a win Thursday against the Miami Marlins. Lyles gave up two early runs but cruised the rest of the way, allowing six hits and a walk while fanning seven. Thursday was a bounce-back performance after two mediocre starts for Lyles, and he now holds a 3.65 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 8.6 K/9. Lyles is settling comfortably into the Padres rotation and is becoming a reliable fantasy spot starter. Including his relief appearances, Lyles has a 1.85 ERA and 0.86 WHIP at home. His next scheduled start is June 5 at Petco Park against the Atlanta Braves.
