Jordan Lyles Misses Start With Tight Forearm
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Jordan Lyles was forced to miss his start Saturday due to forearm tightness. Lyles must've felt off after warming up as he was pulled before even throwing a pitch. The severity of the injury is unknown but for now count on him to make his upcoming scheduled start next weekend at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Lyles holds a 4.46 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 on the season. If he does misses time, the Padres could revert to their "bullpen start" every fifth day with reliever Matt Strahm leading the charge. Another option is recalling starter Luis Perdomo, who is currently posting a 3.02 ERA in Triple-A El Paso. Lyles has possessed sporadic fantasy value this season but can now be left on the waiver wire.
