Jordan Mason Leads 49ers With 57 Rushing Yards
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason rushed for 57 yards on nine carries, leading the team in total rushing yards and yards per attempt. The undrafted rookie out of Georgia Tech took all his carries in the fourth quarter and broke off two for 10 yards or more. The 49ers have a crowded backfield, with the depth chart showing Elijah Mitchell returning as the starter, Jeff Wilson Jr. as No. 2, and Trey Sermon as the No. 3 option. Rookie running back Tyrion Davis-Price, fourth on the depth chart, is also shining in training camp. If Mason can play his way onto the team, it could mean Sermon or Wilson leaving San Francisco.
