Jordan Matthews Invisible In Final Tune-Up
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jordan Matthews saw zero targets in limited action in Thursday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers. On his third team in three years, Matthews finishes the preseason with three catches for 45 yards. The sixth-year player is on the bubble, competing with Kendrick Bourne for the final wideout spot. Bourne played more than Matthews on Thursday, leading many to conclude the former had more to prove. However, Matthews contributes minimally on special teams so a luxury sixth receiver makes little sense. If he makes the cut, Matthews will start the year way off the fantasy radar.
