5 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers cut wide receiver Jordan Matthews over the weekend. The six-year pro registered just 45 yards in the preseason as he tried to make his third team in as many seasons. While the Niners staff heaped praise on Matthews, the decision was ultimately made to keep receivers that also contributed on special teams. Once an ascending talent with over 2,600 receiving yards in his first three seasons, Matthews will look outside of San Francisco to revitalize his career.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
