7 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Jordan Matthews (hamstring) was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday and wasn't released, as was reported earlier, according to a source. He could negotiate an injury settlement and eventually be released by the team. Either way, Matthews won't be in the team's plans this year, which is a shame for Matthews, as he had a shot to contribute early on with Julian Edelman suspended. Phillip Dorsett might be the favorite to work out of the slot in the first four games, although Kenny Britt and Cordarrelle Patterson could also factor in.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
