7 years agoFree-agent wide receiver Jordan Matthews and tight end Troy Niklas visited with the New England Patriots on Monday, according to a source. Matthews played in a career-low 10 games due to injuries with Buffalo in 2017 and could be a decent bounce-back candidate, but playing time could be an issue in New England with receivers Brandin Cooks, Chris Hogan and Julian Edelman already in the mix. Niklas has struggled with injuries in his four years in the NFL and has just 19 total receptions for 203 yards and three touchdowns in his four seasons with the Cardinals. He'd simply be tight end insurance for Rob Gronkowski.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
