Jordan Montgomery Lowers Spring ERA To 0.90
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery pitched well again on Wednesday, holding the Blue Jays to just one baserunner (a walk) over five innings with four strikeouts. Elbow injuries have limited Mongomery to only 75.1 innings over the last three seasons, but he's now fully healthy and will look to build off of his solid 4.05 career FIP in 2021. Montgomery focused on his secondary pitches on Wednesday as he continues to tune his arsenal for the regular season, and his cutter (which he introduced last season) looked solid in an expanded role. Fantasy managers should continue to view Montogmery as a possible breakout candidate this season, and he's an intriguing pick in drafts as a result.
