Jordan Montgomery Removed From Saturday's Start
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Jordan Montgomery (leg) was removed from Saturday's game against the New York Yankees before the sixth inning due to leg cramps. He made his Cardinals debut Saturday against his former team and pitched well before exiting. The 29-year-old allowed two hits and one walk while striking out one across five scoreless innings. Montgomery owns a 3.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 98 strikeouts across 119 2/3 innings in 2022. The Cardinals removed the southpaw for precautionary reasons. He is considered day-to-day and is tentatively lined up to start against the Milwaukee Brewers in next weekend's series.
