3 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano blew the save and took the loss in Tuesday's 6-5 game against the Yankees. Romano came in to pitch the ninth inning up by two. He struck the first hitter out, but then allowed back-to-back walks and gave up a three-run home run to Aaron Judge to end the game. Despite this, Romano has been a high-end fantasy closer overall this season, converting 12 of 14 save opportunities with a 3.29 ERA, 16 strikeouts, and five walks through 13 2/3 innings of work. Even the best of closers have an occasional poor outing, and fantasy managers should continue to have high confidence in him going forward.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
