3 years agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano pitched a perfect ninth inning on Monday to nail down his 12th save of the season in the club's 2-1 win over the White Sox. The right-hander got a groundout and two strikeouts in his efficient 12-pitch frame to lower his ERA to 2.38 and his WHIP to 1.19 through 45 1/3 IP on the year. He's also struck out well over a batter per inning with 62 K, his only issue is that he's received just 13 save opportunities despite acting as the team's clear closing option.
