2 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano converted his 16th save of the season in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox. Romano entered to pitch the ninth inning with a one-run lead. He allowed back-to-back singles but then got a groundball double play and a strikeout to end the game. Romano has now converted all but two save opportunities this season and has a 2.66 ERA with 25 strikeouts and seven walks over 20 1/3 innings pitched.
