Jordan Yamamoto Throws Seven Scoreless Innings In Debut
6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto looked solid during his MLB debut, throwing seven complete innings for the win over the Cardinals while allowing just three hits and two walks and striking out five. The 23-year-old also contributed to the nine runs scored by the Marlins on the night, dropping down a sacrifice bunt to bring home shortstop Miguel Rojas in the bottom of the sixth. It was an impressive debut for the rookie who compiled a 29-25 record throughout six seasons in the minors before his arrival in the big leagues on Wednesday. He is worth keeping an eye on in all fantasy formats, especially if he remains in the rotation and can get another convincing outing under his belt.
