6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer has been scratched from Tuesday's lineup for flu-like symptoms and Sean Rodriguez will take Mercer's spot in the field and will bat eighth. Mercer currently has a slash line of .254/.316/.384 with three home runs and 17 RBI in 53 games. He likely isn't fantasy relevant unless you're in a deep league, but it's always good to pay attention to an absence from the lineup with the Pirates having a deep farm system and Cole Tucker waiting for an opportunity at shortstop.--Brendan Kennealy
