Jordy Mercer Smacks First Homer of 2018
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop Jordy Mercer went 3-for-4 with his first home run of the year in a win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. The usually light-hitting Mercer took Chase Anderson deep in the second inning, mashing a 405-foot shot to left field. He added two singles and an RBI later in the game. Despite the nice showing on Sunday, Mercer doesn't have much fantasy value. His batting line sits at an uninspiring .239/.282/.354 through 124 plate appearances.
