4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro reached base all four times he came to the plate in Friday's win over the Chicago Cubs. Alfaro went 3-for-3 with a double, two singles, and a walk. He scored two runs and raised his batting average to .280 and his OPS to .724. He seems to finally be finding the groove that made him a prospect good enough for the Marlins to target in the J.T. Realmuto trade. Alfaro still has a ways to go to prove that this isn't just a hot streak, but he's certainly looked much better at the plate since returning from his hamstring injury. He's a starting catcher in two-catcher leagues for sure and is starting to work his way into consideration in standard leagues too.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
