3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's win over the Reds. Polanco came through in the clutch for the Twins, sending a ball 396 feet into right field at 107.4 MPH to give his club the lead, one they would hold onto. The switch-hitter is enjoying a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .364 with two homers, six RBI, and eight runs scored. Polanco has taken well to the number-three spot in the lineup for Minnesota sans Nelson Cruz, a role that should continue to give him plenty of run-scoring and producing chances, particularly while he's red hot.--Tim Capurso
