4 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles and two RBI in a 10-5 win over the Chicago White Sox on Opening Day. After racing out to a 4-0 lead, the Twins found themselves in an offensive battle after Chicago tied the score at five. Polanco's big, two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning broke the tie and gave Minnesota the lead for good. The 27-year-old hit in between Josh Donaldson and Nelson Cruz, giving him a chance to see pitches to hit all game. That should be the case for Polanco on most nights in this deep lineup. With lefty Dallas Keuchel on the mound Saturday, Polanco will bat right-handed, where he had considerably less pop than from the left side in 2019.--Tim Capurso
